KENTON, Ohio — The Hardin County Historical Museums, Inc. invites the public to step back in time at its second annual "Back in Time at the Barn" event, to be held Saturday, July 18, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Hardin County Heritage Center.
This immersive living history event will bring the American past to life through the work of skilled reenactors representing periods spanning from the Civil War through World War II. Guests of all ages are welcome to engage with historical demonstrations, explore authentic period equipment and attire, and experience the richness of American history firsthand.
Different weapons demonstrations will be held at 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, and 3:00 PM.
As part of the Museum's celebration of America's 250th anniversary, guests will also have the opportunity to take home a complimentary Liberty Garden kit, free and available while supplies last — a hands-on tribute to the Victory Garden tradition that sustained American communities during wartime.
Admission is free and the event is open to the public. "Back in Time at the Barn" is made possible through the generous support of the Hardin County Community Foundation, whose commitment to preserving and celebrating local heritage makes programming of this scope possible.
