Battle of Munda Memorial

In 2018, a committee was formed to raise money for a memorial at Grove Cemetery honoring the soldiers from Hardin County who fell at the Battle of Munda during World War II. The committee also created a traveling exhibit that told the story of these brave men and the impact their loss had on their families and Hardin County. The work to tell the story of these men is not complete! WGTE has created a documentary entitled A Soldier’s Story: Never Forgotten, telling the story of these brave men who made the ultimate sacrifice and will be shown on that channel on August 1st at 8:30pm.

The documentary is also available through the WGTE website and can be found through this link: wgte.org/soldier
